Since 1992, the
Denver/Boulder region has grown to become a hot spot of a cappella culture,
joining the ranks of the San Francisco Bay area and the northeast atlantic
region. Included here are descriptions of some local a cappella groups. Buffer Zone - Started in 1998. A real good group of guys that are like brothers to us. We've done a couple co-op concerts and we love singing with these guys. Mile 21 - Fantastic co-ed group that's fairly new on campus started in 2005. This group is prestigious and has been known to compete and do very well. They will be competing at ICCA this year, we wish them the best. CU on the Rocks - A brand new all-female group that started in the Spring of 2006. We opened for their first concert and had a blast. We love all these girls, they are some of our favorite people so be sure to check them out. They are also competing this year at ICCA so give them your support. |

Chords - an all female a capella music group from the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, these girls are a real treat to watch and
listen to. They travel all across the nation performing with other groups
and perform in two major events every year - Acappellapalooza and some other
show I don't know the name of. If you are a representative of a listed a cappella group and would like to give different information, please feel free to email ITB. This is strictly a public service. Other a cappella groups in the Denver/Boulder community are encouraged to send email and give information about their groups. There are more than a few other community a cappella groups, and the only reason they aren't included in this list is because of a lack of information. |
